I was in Roatan for a month until a couple of days ago, and i have to say that diving, as fun as it is, cannot take up a whole month unless you really love it.  however, i did not get bored when i was not diveing. For not much expence, a person can rent one of Captain Van's mopeds or motorbikes, and the Java Joungle next door is a nice place to sit and talk and just pass the time away. They also have a pretty extencive library, and internet access as well.  On the weekends, there's an "all-you-can-eat" night at Canibal Caffe's (run by Tomy and Kevin), and during the week you can rent Kyaks from
them at a reasonable price.  Also be sure to go down to Anthony's key and check out the dolphin show.  For those among us who get a little bored in Roatan.     - Amir

Don't forget insect repellant or you'll be eaten alive.  West Bay has the best diving in Roatan.  There is a Mexican restaurant at the top of a hill that has an absolutely gorgeous view of the island and is a great place to watch the sunset.
